Christmas 2008 saw Ashby Round Table in conjunction with Farsite Care Training and Community Careline NWL LTD hand out Festive hampers to the elderly members of the community who may have been on their own at Christmas.
About 50 members of the community received hampers containing some festive treats as well as essentials such as Tea, Coffee Soup etc.
Daybreak Services of Packington were invaluable with their kind donation and great helping in sourcing the right items for the hampers.
Greg Clarke Chairman of Ashby Round Table commented ” Christmas can be a lonely time and this year we wanted to make sure that those people on their own this Christmas knew there was someone out there thinking of them, and we were only too pleased to offer some assistance in these tough times”
